Your troop's experience begins with a lively, interactive discussion about cacao and all things chocolate — educational, fun, and totally engaging for Brownies. Then it's time to taste, create, and take home their own chocolate creations! Hosted at Chamberlain's Chocolate Factory in Roswell, GA, conveniently located in north Atlanta and serving Girl Scout troops from Marietta, Alpharetta, Cumming, Lawrenceville, and surrounding communities. Great for the Brownie Cooking Badge program here in Atlanta.
What's Included
- In-depth discussion about the world of chocolate and cacao
- Chocolate tasting with several varieties of Chamberlains' chocolate
- Snack Badge curriculum coverage: types of snacks, savory snacks, sweet snacks, and snacks for energy
- Hands-on chocolate making — every girl takes her creations home
Pricing & Details
- Price: $26.00 per chocolate maker
- Duration: 1 to 1.25 hours
- Minimum: 12 chocolate makers per event
- Deposit: $50 non-refundable, applied toward the final total
- Troops may be combined with other troops for community events
- No tax for this experience
- Fun Patches available for purchase (official badges obtained through the GS Council)
- Additional time available after the event for a fee — call (678) 728-0100 for details
Important Notes
- At least one adult parent or troop leader must remain in the event space during the event
- 8 chairs available for parents in the back of the event space; additional lobby seating available
- Still photos are welcome; video and audio recording are not permitted during the presentation
- Please no cell phone use for Girl Scouts during the event
- No peanuts or peanut butter products are allowed in the facility
